Tekdata Distribution is the UK's most experienced and most innovative IT distributor. The company stocks a wide range of IT equipment including Internet Security, Storage, Peripherals and access control products. Tekdata Distribution has been trading for over 35 years and is now Europe's biggest and longest serving SonicWALL distributor.

IT distribution is a very competitive arena and the company must always stay one step ahead of the competition. Each supplier of Tekdata sets targets for the company and provides marketing budgets depending on their success. Marketing promotions must bring in the sales otherwise supplier marketing spend would be diverted to other distributors. Tekdata also has high growth targets that it aims for to gain more market share.

Tekdata realised they needed a promotion that would build reseller loyalty to their brand and raise the average total spend per transaction.

Near 100% entry rate

Tekdata used the Charley and The Chocolate film as inspiration for their promotion. Chocolate bars were sent out with purchases over a certain threshold. Concealed in the chocolate bar was a golden ticket which communicated a chance to win some great IT related prizes. The golden ticket directed people to the Tekdata website where resellers could enter the code on their ticket and instantly see if they had won a prize.

The ticket and chocolate bar was designed by smARTstudiosuk the design arm of smARTebusiness.
