Equiform Nutrition has been established in equine nutrition supplements for over 100 years with its complete range of vitamin and mineral supplements for horses. Based at modern purpose built production facilities, products are produced to the highest quality control standards and production techniques, based on GMP and ISO 9001:2000 accreditation and production control procedures. The culture of Equiform nutrition is that of a family run business with an eye for long term sustainability and growth.
Before working with smARTebusiness Equiform Nutrition could not update their website content themselves. Changes were expensive and they still were not able to change key pieces of information. Not being able to correct information quickly made it difficult to comply with the relevant accreditation boards who object to certain content and wording. Laws and regulations are changing all the time and so do products, pricing and availability. This problem not only affected Equiform Nutrition staff but also customers and suppliers. Equiform Nutrition realised they needed to be in control of their own content. The website needed a system that allowed them to update content whenever they wanted without delay. They also needed to be able to do this without having any in house web design skills.

They also realised that this new website was a chance to improve the online shopping experience for the customer, to gain larger more profitable orders.

The process was started with a comprehensive creative brief process to capture all the requirements for the projects. Once complete smARTstudiosUK took this information and presented it into several designs. This shows how the front end and how the internal pages of the site could work. The customer was met and consulted at each stage and only when they were happy did the project more forward.

A content management and eCommerce system was then installed and configured with all the products that Equiform Nutrition sold. All the complex ordering rules were created so that the customer could seamlessly buy whatever they needed without having to ring the order line. With the website set up a comprehensive round of testing was completed with experienced test engineers.
From a technical stand point the site was written in PHP, MySQL on a Linux and Apache server. SSL security was used to secure the order pages.
